Well the title says it all… About a good 98% of this movie it is action packed sequences, apart from the beginning i don’t believe there is a good 5 minutes without any guns being fired, but i liked it!

While watching the trailers i honestly thought that this would be another movie which would be just focused on the team of marines trying to survive and that would be about it. I was surprised that the movie would include details about the aliens, why they were invading, what they where doing, what they looked like, details about the enemy spaceships etc…

I especially loved the scene where Los Angeles has pretty much been wiped out, they capture one of the aliens and they perform a clumsy autopsy of the alien while it’s alive to try and find it’s week spot. Eventually they find it, but I’m still unsure what it was, it seemed like it was a heart, but it was never mentioned. I don’t know why, i loved this scene a lot!

I did notice one plot hole in the movie which was before the scene in the sewers. The marries are running around under neither a bridge in the middle of the night, they go underground in the sewers for no more than 10 minutes of the movie, which couldn’t have been 30 minutes in the movie time, but when the re-surface, it is the middle of the day! But that didn’t change my views what so ever!

Overall, Battle Los Angeles was an excellent movie in my opinion and it’s a definite watch, i need to own a copy on DVD when it’s released! Excellent acting, superb CGI and visual effects, lovely ending, mind- blowing music and sounds and an amazing story line! What more can you ask for?!
